Business Analytics and Insights Specialist
Primary Skills:
1. Four years or more of experience in large, matrixed organizations
2. Experience in analytics tools such as Power BI or Tableau or Qliksense. Certification in
Business analytics is highly desirable.
3. Strong SQL skills for data manipulation and analysis.
4. Experience in data processing tools like DBT, Alteryx, Dataiku etc
5. Exposure to AWS data services (Lambda, S3 data handling, RDS/CosmosDB etc) is a
strong plus
Secondary Skills:
1. Analytical Thinking: Ability to identify business problems that can be addressed through
data solutions.
2. Experience in working with GBS functions or similar shared services environments
3. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
4. Creative mindset : Ability to develop eye-catching reports and charts that convey the
message clearly and crisply.
5. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts
clearly
6. Ability to work on a dynamic, research-oriented team with concurrent projects
7. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in data technologies to drive
innovation
Job Description/ Key Responsibilities:
1. Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Analyse data from various GBS domains (Finance, Procurement, HR etc) to
identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.
o Create comprehensive reports and dashboards using tools such
as Tableau, Power BI or similar analytics platforms.
o Translate complex data into actionable insights for business leaders and
stakeholders.
2. Business Insights and Decision Support:
o Collaborate with domain experts to understand business requirements and
challenges.
o Provide strategic recommendations based on data analysis to improve
operational efficiency, cost savings, and compliance.
o Support decision-making processes by presenting clear insights and
actionable recommendations.
3. SQL Expertise:
o Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data extraction,
transformation, and analysis.
o Ability to work with large datasets and complex data structures.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Procurement,
HR, and others, to understand their data & analytics needs.
o Communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical
audiences.
