ASSET Analyst
As the Service Asset and Configuration Management analyst within Group Service
Management, you will:
Have an interest in Technology and IT record management
Provide end to end asset management for Sky’s Technology and IT estate with a
focus on ensuring the how the asset that is configured and deployed is accurately
reflected in various databases including the CMDB.
Correct missing or incorrect information that the Configuration Management and
Technology reliance teams and their processes identify within the CMDB.
Update Asset and CMDB records related to Networking and Server hardware and
IT equipment.
Identify and report on breaches of ITAM policy and other asset-related risks and
track remedial action
Analyse and report on the status of Assets against the relevant policies (ITAM,
Configuration Management, Resilience, etc) suggesting improvements during (but
not only) the relevant audit & assessment cycles
Attend incident reviews to ensure any shortfall is understood and assist with
remediation activity.
Your key responsibilities
As the lead for IT Asset Management within Group Service Management, you will:
Gather and analyse data relating to technology asset life cycles and related
processes. For example, complete resilience assessment for new implementations
ensuring the details are recorded.
Identify and report on breaches of ITAM policy and other asset-related risks and
track remedial action
Analyse and report on the status of Assets against the relevant policies (ITAM,
Configuration Management, Resilience, etc) suggesting improvements during (but
not only) the relevant audit & assessment cycles
Work with the Configuration Management team analysing existing and newly
created Service CIs and ensure the correct Service Classification has been
applied to the service.
Assist in the creation and reporting on the different metrics for asset, config and
resilience management.
Attend incident reviews to ensure any shortfall is understood and assist with
remediation activity.
Work closely with business continuity teams to ensure an aligned approach to
engaging with stakeholders and creation of a fully amalgamated roadmap.

Your skills
Strong English language and written skills
Experience managing all attributes about deployed assets records within a CMDB
Experience working within fast-moving, large-scale organisations that operate across
multi-platform, multi-organisation, and complex technologies.
Experience on ServiceNow ITSM platform preferred
Strong analytical, data processing and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in process formulation and improvement
